|Title:||The absorption of bioplex-trace minerals||Contributor(s):||Bao, Yumin (author); Choct, Mingan (author) ; Iji, Paul (author); Bruerton, K (author)||Publication Date:||2007||Handle Link:||https://hdl.handle.net/1959.11/4387||Abstract:||An experiment was conducted to examine the effects of bioplex or inorganic Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn supplementation of a mineral-deficient broiler diet on bird performance on deep litter and on absorption site and digestibility. A deficiency of trace minerals severely depressed feed intake and growth rate, but did not adversely affect FCR. Supplemental organic (Bioplex) sources of trace minerals significantly (P<0.01) improved zinc absorption in the ileum.||Publication Type:||Conference Publication||Conference Name:||Australian Poultry Science Symposium, Sydney, Australia, 12 - 14 February, 2007||Source of Publication:||Proceedings of Australian Poultry Science Symposium, v.19, p. 98-101||Publisher:||Poultry Science Symposium & Poultry Research Foundation & World's Poultry Science Association, Australian Branch||Place of Publication:||Sydney, Australia||ISSN:||1034-6260||Field of Research (FOR):||070204 Animal Nutrition||Peer Reviewed:||Yes||HERDC Category Description:||E1 Refereed Scholarly Conference Publication||Other Links:||http://trove.nla.gov.au/work/6382329?selectedversion=NBD44769183
