Abstract: Acupuncture is evaluated from the perspectives of evidence-based medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, clinical casestudies and the practitioner as a healer. Consideration of multiple perspectives is desirable in optimising the integration of thismodality into medicine systems worldwide.
